Following the steps below should make belt buying pain free. But we understand that sometimes it doesn't go to plan, which is why we offer Easy Exchanges on all our products (unfortunately we can not refund nor exchange on personalised items).
1. MEASURE WITH TAPE MEASURE
The most accurate and simplest way to find the perfect size. Just measure an existing belt from the TOP of the buckle (where the pin meets the outer edge of the buckle) to the most worn hole (usually evident by a crease in the leather).
Or simply wrap a tape measure around yourself at the point you wish to wear the belt. Use this measurement to choose your belt based on the 'Tape Measure' column below.
2. USE OUR GUIDE
This is a less accurate method, but the below Dress and Waist size columns should give you a rough guideline of which M&G Size to buy.
If between sizes and not sure, go for the next size up as most belts can be adjusted* down, if too big.
M&G Size | Tape Measure | Ladies Dress Size (UK) | Mens Waist Size |
---|---|---|---|
1 | 30-32" | 6-8 | 27-29" |
2 | 33-35" | 10 | 30-32" |
3 | 36-38" | 12 | 32-35" |
4 | 39-41" | 14-16 | 36-38" |
5 | 42-44" | 16-18 | 38-41" |
6 | 45-47" | 20 | 42-44" |
7 | 48-50" | 22 | 44-46" |
SIZING IN DEPTH
Most of our belts have 6 holes, all 1" apart, and we recommend best fit to be in the 2nd, 3rd or 4th holes giving you room to wear them at different points and for the best balance on the belt.
*Please note that because of the detailing on some belts, size adjustments can only be minor so as not too throw off the balance of the decoration.
