Alberta Dickson's Badminton Style Blog - Dressage Day

So Badminton is here, one of the biggest British events of the year. Eventing and shopping, what’s not to like! If you’re lucky enough to attend, or just stuck for some spring fashion inspiration, look no further! Here’s my style guide for Badders 2018.

I have two different looks to go for this year, first off is the causal yet cool style which is perfect for any spectator or shopaholic. With a real country vibe this outfit is comfortable with a tomboy streak, while the clutch keeps you looking not too casual so you’ll look great whilst watching the dressage.

A light wash pair of jeans with an oversized knit (weather depending) look great tied together with a rich leather belt. Mine pictured are my favourite combination, the jumper is from joules, jeans are Jamie by topshop and my personalised belt is from of course, Mackenzie and George. The roll neck, jeans and imperial explorer boots are a look I stole from Georgina Toffolo who is a serious style icon of mine.

My clutch is made by an English designer called Owen Barry who creates bespoke pieces in the uk. This design is called Bambi. I feel this outfit is great for Badminton as you are comfortable and suitably dressed to mooch around the stalls whilst looking effortlessly chic. Finish this outfit with a timeless M&G fedora just like Toff.

My second outfit choice, if you’re wanting something a bit more smart, perfect for an afternoon watching the dressage or sipping a G&T is below.

I love this outfit, again simple, but stylish. Khaki is my absolute fave. Tied together with my skinny Ledbury belt from M&G, the brown leather compliments the green tones so well. Both these outfits are more suitable for our typical chilly British weather, so maybe ditch the gilet and roll neck and exchange them for a white t and shades if the sun is shining. Top this one off again with a M & G olive fedora.

So there you have it, my two Badminton looks including all my favourite accessories from Mackenzie and George. For everyone heading to Badminton this year, enjoy! And make sure you stop off at the Mackenzie and George stand to say hello!
